Welcome to Gilda.
Gilda is an artisan bakery in rural Bishopsbourne, just outside Canterbury, proudly producing quality handmade sourdough, speciality breads, and pastries.
We believe in honest, quality ingredients, sourcing our organic flour from trusted suppliers and working alongside local and British producers to form the base of our products. As a specialist in sourdough, our bread is crafted with patience and love using time-tested techniques.
Our bakery is housed in a beautiful converted farm building, where we invite customers to experience Gilda from every angle with our open-plan kitchen and retail space. Each member of the Gilda team brings a wealth of experience to the bakery. We all share a passion for what we do, and a lot of time, care, and love goes into every product we make.
As a proud supporter of Kent, we are humbled to supply many local restaurants with our baked goods, including The Bridge Arms, The Pig, Updown Farmhouse, The Tiger, Boys Hall, and more. But we still keep our feet firmly on the ground and every weekend can be found at Faversham Market, where we sell our signature bakes as well as partaking in other community events.
For us, it’s about sharing our passion with others and if we can make someone smile that’s a job well done!
