Junior Shop Assistant

Gilda Bakery is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Junior Shop Assistant to support our team on Saturdays and occasional Sundays. 

This role involves working both in our bakery shop and at our markets, helping deliver great service and beautifully presented products wherever we trade. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, meeting customers face-to-face, and being part of a small, supportive team.

Hours: Saturday 6:30am to 11am, occasional Sundays 

Key Responsibilities:

• Serving customers in the bakery and at market stalls

• Setting up and packing down market stalls

• Preparing and packing customer orders

• Handling cash and card payments

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

Requirements:

• Must be available every Saturday and occasional Sundays

• Must have reliable transport to and from the bakery due to rural location

• Friendly, confident and customer-focused

• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment

• Retail or hospitality experience preferred

• Comfortable with early starts and some light lifting (market setup)
